CAMP CHITAKE
WILDEST SAFARI EXPERIENCE IN ZIMBABWE
Located alongside the world famous Chitake Springs, Camp Chitake offers a remarkable wildlife experience with big game, including buffalo and lion. During the dry season, the Chitake River transforms into a sandy riverbed, leaving behind a small spring as the sole water source for miles. As a result, diverse buffalo and impala come in the masses in the dry season. The region is known for lions hunting buffalo and impala with an almost guarantee of a wild sighting. At Chitake, nature walks reveal the first animal sightings in the morning, while afternoons offer the thrill of observing an array of game quench their thirst for hours from a nearby cliff. This awe-inspiring area in Mana Pools is truly exceptional.
